Fraser Valley Food Network

"Moving Towards a Food Secure Fraser Region"

The Fraser Valley Food Network is a burgeoning group bringing together local community food tables to work together to eliminate hunger and create food security for all residents of the Fraser Region (Burnaby to Boston Bar).

You are invited to join and share, discuss, network and celebrate around food security.

Below are two of the groups who helped bring the Fraser Valley Food Network to fruition.

Surrey/White Rock Food Action Coalition

The Surrey/White Rock Food Action Coalition, a collection of passionate agencies and community members, is dedicated towards Moving Food Policy Forward in Surrey and White Rock.

The foundation for this project began with a group meetings including a wide variety of stakeholders in May 2005, and has operated in the community with project funding from the United Way and Fraser Health. We believe that every member of the steering committee has an important contribution to make towards moving food policy forward in our communities.

 Fraser Region Harvest Box

Harvest Box is a program for individuals and families who want to purchase fresh produce at affordable prices.

For $8.00 a month you can get top quality, farm fresh produce that would normally cost two to three times more in a local super market.

Harvest Box currently operates in Aldergrove, Delta, Langley, Surrey and White Rock.

By being a part of Harvest Box you can save money, add a variety of nutritious fruits and vegetables to your diet, receive monthly newsletters with recipes, and support your local farms & community!
